OMG I just typed an entry halfway and it got EATEN by diaryland. AUGHHH! FINE. Quick and non-comprehensive recap.

Today was a good day!

I went to my first comic con! (kinda)

It was a bit weird because it was predominantly anime/manga/cosplaying!

I do not get cosplaying!

I am very open to new things. Really, I am. I like people with sooper powers, fantasy worlds, blahblah and that geeky jazz. And I totally understand escaping 'reality'. But wearing a costume and running around taking photos and pretending to be hardcore? Not for me. I'd make the costume. I think that would be fun. It's arts and crafts! I would wear it even, if I liked it enough. To fart around, to show off my skillz, whatever. But the way some people do it is so crazy. They don't even make it. Some buy, rent, tailor.* Then why bother? Then in these cases all they really want to do is wear to costume and pretend to be whoever, just for a day. That's why I liked the funny costumes better. It's more like, for fun and laughs. I dunno. I'd wear a costume for say, a halloween party, but cosplay? No. Not my thing at all. (Sorry jess i know you did it before.) It all sounds very contradictory and hypocritical, but I guess in my head there is just a line that crosses into creepy world.

*The only exception is star wars troopers. They do it for charity! 501st squadren make appearences in their suits for events, and they are paid in contributions to a certain charity.

ANYWAY, the queue was !!!!!!!!!!! long, but eventually we got in. I think it wasn't considered a big con, but I was stoill very excited. The numerous anime/manga stalls meant I had less to see, and could concentrate more on stuff I liked. I bought a few comics that I am quite satisfied with! EXCITING. I always love getting new comics. I got FREAKANGELS vol 2, I'll get the 1st and 3rd one online or something, JLA, and SECRET INVASION. Now secret invasion is a huge book. It was a huge event so its rather big. But it was selling quite cheaply being the cover was creased. But heck man, I only read for myself, so I got it! The art is great (which is one of the strongest reasons for me to get a comic, since if the writing sucks at least I can admire nice pictures and use as reference.), and though I can't say I LOVED secret invasion, I guess its okay.

I played some games too! There was a Left 4 Dead 2 booth, but the queue was MASSIVE so I didn't get to play. D: But I watched, and it looks pretty good! Altho a bit similar to the 1st one, its not completely done yet I guess.

Then I left to go for my eagerly awaited LONDON SCGS GIRLS MEET UP! I was so excited. Heeheeheehee. I mean, honestly speaking, I'm not super close to everyone, there are some whom I have never spoken to even. But I was still so excited. AND IT WAS GREAT! :D See, thats the thing. It's SC manz. I don't need to have known you, but as long as we're SC girls, we're cool. I'm not afriad to be fuzz the dork. Over our local cusine (at a place called kiasu, no less), we joked, talked about school, SC (of course!), SC TEACHERS (of COURSE!), and just anything and everything under the sun. Chatted with old friends, even made new ones. It was just... awesome.

I BROUGHT MY SCGS BADGE AND WORE IT! HAHAHAHAHA! NOTHING IS TOO RETARDED FOR MEEEE!

Nat phua is the best organiser EVER. I forgive her for all the times she's booked me. Which I'm sure she has done before.

SO many turned up, and from all different schools and courses. It was like people actually WANTED to go, and WANTED to meet up. Honestly back home it would have been such a difficult task. Does being overseas make people who were previously not really bonded care more for the links we have? Perhaps. But everyone's enthusiasm was great, and all my worries about friends and people went away, at least for a while. I totally rambling but I'm feeling... good. I'm feeling good. Well actually no, I think I'm falling a bit sick (lump in throat feeling. Oh NOES.), but, y'know. I know it's crazy to feel so glad when I hardly talk to some of them, but everything just felt right.

IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY YOU CAN SEE MY SC BADGE HOHO

Oh, we talked about LL's triumph over the C, you know the thing that sparked of LLAMA? That was great. Haha!

Then I came back and watched The Dark Knight with some hall people. Hehe.

Good day guys, good day.

Finding little moments of awesome here and there.
